Owner Rachel-Mari Ackermann is a fine artist, illustrator, and graphic designer.
She studied at the Vaal Triangle School of Technology (previously Vaal Triangle Technicon) where she received a National Diploma in Fine Arts in 1993.
Her graphic design career started in 1996 at Christian Art Publishers (CUM Books) as a graphic designer and illustrator. She worked at different design and communications studios since then and some of her graphic design projects include work from a wide variety of companies, like Goldwell, Jenna Clifford, Randgold and Randgold Resources, Foodcorp, City Power, Eskom, AIG, IFC, SYSMEX SA, SA Post Office, Live the Journey, SA Museums Association, Audience of One Media, House of Marshall, Houtkruis Bediening, Hadassah Healing Oils and Bridal Harvest Ministries.
In 2001 she illustrated her first postage stamps for the SA Post Office and in 2010 she joined the SA Post Office’s Philatelic Services team as a graphic design artist. She created and art-directed many stamp issues and other in-house graphic design projects.
In her spare time, she loves to write, illustrate and animate Christian-based children’s stories.
She started Creatio Media & Design in October 2020 to pursue her true passion: To bring the wonderful message of hope about Jesus Christ to children (and adults) all over the world. She sees herself as a seed sower, a planter of His truth and love for all.
